STATEMENT

Goelka’s artistic work is rooted in social engagement. Using diverse materials such as ceramics, glass, aluminum, and silicone, he plays with the duality between strength and vulnerability. The fragility of certain materials contrasts with the solidity of others, expressing the tension between innocence and brutality, faith and reality.

The materials and symbols he employs sometimes undergo transformations throughout the creative process or exhibition, giving his works a dynamic, living dimension. These metamorphoses emphasize the organic and evolving nature of his work, where every imperfection becomes a symbolic mark full of meaning.

His works aim to provoke awareness by confronting the viewer with the ambiguous symbols of our society. Through a visual language where imperfections, transformations, and contrasts are essential, Goelka invites the audience to reconsider their perceptions, question societal norms, and reflect on the moral and social issues that shape our time.

Born in 2003 in Almería, Spain

Coming from an artistic environment, he developed a sensitivity to visual arts from an early age. His journey, marked by cultural and geographical diversity, influences his perception and artistic practice. During adolescence, he began exploring art as a means of expression and experimented with various techniques.

Currently pursuing a professional diploma in ceramics and applied arts, he is deepening his technical knowledge while developing an experimental approach. His professional experience has led him to work with various materials such as sheet metal, concrete, silicone, plaster, and glass, enriching his artistic language.

In the summer of 2024, he completed a three-month internship in Jingdezhen, China, alongside artist Jinya Zhao. This immersion in one of the world’s most significant centers of ceramics profoundly shaped his artistic path and nurtured his reflection on materiality.

Alongside his studies at the Applied Arts School of Vevey (CEPV), he continues his artistic research in his studio, established since 2020 in Montreux.
